10 Reasons Why Marijuana Is Better Than Alcohol

Alcohol legal and marijuana isn't? This must surely mean that marijuana strains such as Purple Kush are the more dangerous drug right? Well not in our eyes!

Here are our top 10 reasons why marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol.

 No.1

Alcohol

Drinking excessive alcohol over a long period of time is one of Americas biggest killers, responsible for over 75,000 deaths a year.

Marijuana

Marijuana use has NEVER killed anyone.

 No.2

Alcohol

Alcohol is responsible for causing illnesses such as cirrhosis of the liver, multiple cancers and not to forget loss of inhibitions which leads to violence.

Marijuana

Marijuana alone has not been proven to cause any illnesses and has been proven not to cause lung cancer. Users very rarely get violent, most probably due to not having the energy to throw a punch!

No.3

Alcohol

Drinking alcohol has no known medical value, apart from relieving pain I suppose, unless you know someone who is prescribed alcohol?

Marijuana

Marijuana has now been prescibed in the U.S. for over 15 years and relieves symptoms such as glaucoma, migraines, tumor growth, seizures etc, the list goes on. These are most probably symptoms of drinking too much alcohol.

No.4

Alcohol

Alcohol is one of the most addictive drugs and is addictive in two ways, psychologically (the mind) and physiologically (the body), and can lead to death from withdrawal.

Marijuana

There are arguments both for and against marijuana been addictive. The only symptoms for a marijuana addict are minor (acute insomnia, irritability, intense dreams) and certainly won't lead to death after stopping using marijuana.

No.5

Alcohol

Alcohol is a very toxic drug. Consuming just 10 times the amount which it takes you to be inebriated can lead to death.

Marijuana

Marijuana is one of the least if not least toxic of all known drugs. Tests have shown it would take over 40,000 times the amount of THC (the active psychological part of the drug) to cause an overdose.

No.6

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption dehydrates the user and leads to "hangovers" and feeling like you have gone 5 rounds with Mike Tyson the next day.

Marijuana

Marijuana doesn't - Enough said!

No.7

Alcohol

Alcohol leads to more violent crimes than any other drug.

Marijuana

Whilst the number of users of marijuana have risen the number of  violent crimes have dropped. Just coincidence?.

No.8

Alcohol

Drink drivers are the reason for nearly half the fatal deaths caused in highway accidents.

Marijuana

Marijuana users are 4 times less likely to be involved in a highway traffic accident, the reason the figure is still high is put down to medical marijuana users not been properly informed about the drugs effects.
(We do not condone anyone driving whist high, it is illegal and it is dangerous!)

No.9

Alcohol

Alcoholism is a responsible for approximately 30% of all completed suicides.

Marijuana

Results on a recent study in the U.K. suggest that marijuana in users is unlikely to have a large effect on the risk of completed suicide, in both directly or as a consequence of problems stemming from mental health.

No.10
Alcohol

Alcohol use is a great way to interact on a social level. Hey it's not all bad you know!

Marijuana

Marijuana is a better way to socially interact, you can pass and share a joint and a bong, you don't want to share any one's beer!
